About this tool

The data in this landscape tool has been collected from a variety of sources, including information submitted by the organisations themselves to us as well as publicly available information.  Currently the map shows only commercial organisations and the UK's vibrant photonics academic research is not included at this stage. This landscape map is a living document as new organisations continually emerge and details change. As a result the map can only provide a snapshot of the current photonics landscape and cannot fully capture the total number of photonics and photonics enabled companies in the UK.
